Alleghany CTP
Alleghany County, the High Country Council of Governments, and NCDOT’s Transportation Planning Branch are seeking public input as part of Alleghany County’s Comprehensive Transportation Planning process. After reviewing public surveys, studying the transportation network, and considering comments from the public, recommendations were cooperatively developed to be included in the Alleghany County Comprehensive Transportation Plan to address current and future transportation needs. A public hearing has been scheduled for April 30, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Sparta Town Hall. The public hearing will allow citizens to provide feedback on the plan to the County Commissioners and Town Council. The draft recommendations are available online at http://www.regiond.org/rpoAlleghanyCTP.html and will be available until April 30, 2012. Copies of the draft recommendations are available at the Alleghany County Administration Building, Sparta Town Hall, and the Alleghany County Public Library.
