Recreation

   Technical assistance is provided to local governments in the development of grant applications for financial assistance primarily from NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund.

    High Country COG staff also assists local governments with development of Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plans.

    In 2008, High Country COG developed the High Country Regional Trails Plan, a long-range plan for off-road trails covering the seven-county Region.
